Corporate Governance

KSH is committed to implementing a corporate governance framework to enhance transparency and accountability across all aspects of its work. 

This framework aims to improve the Society’s overall performance and ensure the effective and efficient achievement of its objectives, in a manner that serves the best interests of persons with disabilities and their families. This is achieved through the adoption of best practices in modern management and oversight systems, while strengthening trust among stakeholders and ensuring the sustainability of KSH’s resources.

KSH’s Governance Framework is Based on the Following Elements:

KSH’s Bylaws: Issued under the official declaration decision No. (45) of 1971.

Board of Directors

Systems and Regulations: Including KSH’s bylaws, internal regulations, policies, and operational procedures. 

Internal Audit Office: Oversees the auditing of financial and administrative transactions and transfers, and submits periodic reports to the Board of Directors. Organizationally, the office reports directly to the Chairman of the Board. 

General Assembly: The highest decision-making authority of the Society. 

External Auditor: Responsible for auditing KSH’s financial statements, ensuring their accuracy and compliance with International Accounting Standards, and submitting the final audit report to the Board of Directors and the General Assembly. 

Executive Management: Responsible for the day-to-day management of KSH’s operations, operating under the supervision and accountability of the Board of Directors. 

Ministry of Social Affairs 
Granting the necessary licenses to KSH to organize various fundraising campaigns and supervising these campaigns in accordance with the issued regulations and instructions. It also monitors KSH’s annual activities through attending and organizing general assembly meetings. 

Ministry of Foreign Affairs 
Coordination and cooperation are carried out with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to obtain the necessary approvals for external partnerships through the Ministry of Social Affairs. 

Public Authority for Disability Affairs (PADA) 
Providing support to Kuwaiti students and approving disability certificates, as well as approving the classification of different types of disabilities.

They are the ladies and gentlemen:
