Spring Time Honey at KSH!

Honey Bees... A new project joins the achievements of the Scientific and Training Association In continuation of its relentless efforts to promote the spirit of community initiative, and in line with its commitment to the economic empowerment of its members, and coinciding with its celebrations of its 53rd anniversary, the Association has embraced a honey production project at its three day centers in Hawally, Al-Ahmadi, and Al-Jahra, thanks to a generous initiative by volunteer Samar Dawood, who donated a number of honey apiaries to launch this unique and pioneering project.

The project aims to provide scientific, practical, and training opportunities for the association's children, revealing to them the importance of honey and its health and nutritional benefits, and promoting their participation in fruitful economic activities, which contributes to strengthening their independence and confidence in themselves. It also reflects the association's keenness to diversify its sources of income and seeks to train the children and prepare them for future work with bees and honey production, providing them with the opportunity to interact with the community, paving the way for their participation in events and exhibitions to market their products, encouraging their communication with others and highlight their abilities and potential.

This project is a fruitful step that joins a series of pioneering projects that the association has undertaken throughout its long history, as it provides a wide space for training and achievement, as well as utilizing the children's free time to perform work beneficial to them and to society. Indeed, our children and their families welcomed this step with great enthusiasm and joy, praising this initiative. Many of the children expressed their eagerness and desire to be part of the teams responsible for caring for and maintaining the apiaries.
